Over the coming months, we will be sharing exclusive recipes created by Larissa Takchi, Winner of MasterChef 2019, showcasing the incredible offer available at our complete fresh food market on level 1.

As both a Castle Towers local and an extraordinary young chef, Larissa knows the best stores to get the finest and freshest ingredients and how to bring it to life in simple, yet clever recipes.

Her eyes light up when browsing the windows of Chop Butchery, Costi’s Fresh Seafood and Nuts GaloreShe loves the experience of buying the fresh produce at the new Freshworld and the fragrances of the spices at Gewürzhaus thoroughly inspire her.

Growing up in the Hills area, Larissa’s first job was at Castle Towers, where she spent countless weekends browsing the produce and came to know and love our local fresh food retailers.

Now with the recognition of winning an impressive title, Larissa has turned her hobby into a career and loves experimenting with new flavour combinations or putting a twist on an old classic.

Using a selection of groceries from our fresh food stores, Larissa will show us how to create a simple weeknight meal for your family or cater for an event at home with friends.

“I’m so excited to be working with Castle Towers to create these great recipes which are great for families and impressive dinner parties. Food is obviously such an important part of my life and there are so many amazing products to inspire me in the new fresh food market. I can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on!” 

Each recipe will be easy to recreate at home and every ingredient will be available from our array of fresh food stores. With easy to follow how-to videos and Larissa’s creative flair, you will feel comfortable with experimenting with cooking and entertaining at home.
